To Raven Lake Lodge & Sowden Lake Resort From Thunder Bay:

Take Highway 11/17 West. When the Highway splits stay on 17 west to Ignace. Approximately 18 miles (32 km) before Ignace you will see our Raven Lake Lodge signs. We are less than 1/2 mile off the Highway and it is paved all the way to our door.

The Sowden Lake turn-off is easy to find. You will go through English River. After that watch for a wayside on your left-hand side. The first road past the wayside on your right is Sowden Lake Rd. Take that road and go approx. 2.4 miles to where the road splits. Going left and following the signs will take you to Sowden and going straight ahead on Furniss and following the signs will take you to Selwyn. If you’re coming from the west (Ignace) approx. 10 miles out of Ignace you will see BonHeur Rd. Take that to the left and follow the signs to Sowden. If going to Selwyn go approx. 27.4 miles east out of Ignace to Sowden Lake Rd.

If you want to cut across on 130 and miss Thunder Bay if coming from Pigeon River border crossing, you’ll drive 27 miles from Rydens, turn left onto 130. At the stop sign turn left onto Barrie Rd. Take a right onto River Rd. Take a right onto 588. When you reach hwy 11/17 just take a left and you will just be a short ways from Kakabeka Falls.
